You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending “CS Lewis, Everyday Power”.

Born and raised in Pimville, Soweto, a world like no other, beautiful and sincere, rich in history, a place where everyone’s story is unique and beautiful.

The time I spent at the University Of Johannesburg, formerly known as Rand Afrikaans Universiteit (RAU), exposed me to a different yet exciting world, a world that allowed me to discover and fully express myself, where fear had no root and no flower of fear would ever grow. On Campus I was always surrounded by creatives, free-spirited individuals, fashionistas, models, and as a result I developed an interest in fashion and beauty. This seemed timeless to me, and I was sure correct.

My then discovered interest in fashion and beauty led me to start the following platform. My innitial purpose was to celebrate black individuals who have made a mark in the fashion and beauty space. However after realizing fashion impacts everyone who puts on a garment before leaving their homes, influenced me to become broader than I had initially planned. I decided the platforms mission to be based on celebrating and promoting black excellence FROM all sectors.

The calling remains the same but the purpose can change – Itumeleng Mzimba.

My black excellence platform follows the definition of Black Success, which is “Someone that is black and portrays great qualities and abilities that make the black community proud”.

On that note, Allow me to take you on a journey of excellence, a journey of learning and a journey of uplifting our community. A journey that embodies excellence because your excellent.
