So, I received an exclusive invitation from one of my favourite publicists in town, Melanie Ramjee aka Hypress, to the newly opened Lifestyle / Shopping destination WE ARE EGG Experience in Rosebank next Tuesday, and we are ecstatic. We Are EGG, the award-winning next generation experiential department store, officially opened their second store at the Zone in Rosebank last month. Not only does it offer the ultimate shopping experience under one roof, but also serves as a lifestyle destination. Originally launched in Cavendish Square in December 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown, by South African retail pioneers Paul Simon and Arie Fabian in collaboration with Old Mutual, the new Rosebank store has been designed specifically for the Joburg customer and is based on the iconic UK-based Selfridges department store.
The beautifully curated, massive 3000 SQM space features some of the best local and international fashion brands for men’s, women’s and kids. The store also offers a beauty, home and jewelry department – all under one roof. Set to open this December, another exciting addition to the store will be quintessential restaurant & bar, Mamasamba.
